In view of the 2018 maritime week of the United Arab Emirates, the organizers of the annual Dubai Used Boat Show have announced the return of their ninth edition, which will be held on November 8th and 10th at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club 2018.
The Middle East is a key market for large lengths, with 205 high-end glasses over 40 meters in length registered in the region. The United Arab Emirates is also a center for maritime trade, from the Oxford Business Group worth $ 66 billion by the end of 2018.
Abdulla Ali Al Al Noon, Club Manager of the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, says: "We are proud to present another semi-new Dubai boat show to the residents of the GCC and visitors to the United Arab Emirates. the nautical industry will be valued at 74.2 billion dollars by 2022, which demonstrates a constant upward trajectory of the sector and therefore the need for such events. The last year we received a record number of visitors during the three days of the event, and this year our goal is to bring the used Dubai boat show to new heights - offering quality glasses at affordable prices and a pleasant weekend for both potential buyers and families.
Following the success of the Dubai International Boat Show in February and the first Abu Dhabi International Boat Show in October, the maritime needs of the natives and residents of the region continue to grow. To these events are added various development plans in the region - including the Dubai mega-port project that will introduce 1,400 additional moorings; and the development of the Dubai AED 1 billion owned by five marinas, more than 7.4 km along the Dubai Water Channel, which offers 1,250 berths for boat owners to moor. These efforts are aimed at strengthening the country's position as one of the main maritime destinations, currently in tenth place worldwide, and fifth in terms of attractiveness and competitiveness.
The Dubai Used Boat Show 2018 will have more than 25 exhibitors, including Bush and Noble and Gulf Craft exhibiting some of its most luxurious boats. Registration for this year's event also includes the Xclusive Boat Club, which was recently launched in September 2018 as a division of the award-winning charter yacht company, Xclusive Yachts.
Wayne Munro, head of the Xclusive Boat Club, said: "The second hand salon is an important event for us because most of our customers are people who own a boat or who are looking for a canoe to buy a boat We have discovered that the people we care for are the perfect demographic for our product, giving them the opportunity to enjoy boat trips without the headache that comes with owning one.
On the future of the maritime industry in the region, Munro commented: "The most important development for us is the addition of new ports, which illustrates the strong demand. We hope this will reduce the costs of docking in the region and, in turn, make the canoe more accessible The introduction of the FTA regulation will also have a great impact, making canoeing in the United Arab Emirates much safer waters, along with a greater impact on the environment as a result of certain rules and regulations in force.
The Dubai Used Boat Show 2018 takes place from Thursday 8 November to Saturday 10 November. It is open from 14:00 to 21:00 on Thursdays and from 12:00 to 21:00 on Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 to 20:00 on Sundays.
